To celebrate the 900,000 hit count mark, I got really busy to start the Chicago Chapter of the Internet Society (See the web page at http://www.isoc-chicago.org.); and I adopted a new protege as a someone who I will be training to be a computer professional of the future.  On October 23, 1998, I got to meet Dr. Vint Cerf, the co-inventor of TCP/IP, at a lecture at DePaul University in downtown Chicago.  Dr. Cerf gave us a nice plug to help generate some interest in getting this Chicago Chapter of ISOC off the ground.
